About the role
- Front-End Project Manager overseeing small to medium-sized non-turnkey projects in the GIS domain at GE Vernova. Leading project lifecycle management and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects.
- Define and track project scope, schedule, and deliverables using planning tools (MS Project/Primavera).
- Collaborate with Design, SCM, Production, QA/QC, and Dispatch teams to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Act as single point of contact for all customer interactions.
- Coordinate with the commercial and finance teams to ensure timely submission of invoices.
- Provide required documentation and technical support to the site erection and commissioning teams.
- Identify risks and initiate timely mitigation actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- 6–15 years of experience in project management in GIS or Transformer or heavy electrical equipment manufacturing.
- Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable.
- Strong leadership, planning, and coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of Project Management Processes & Concepts
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, ERP systems (SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
