About the role
- Proposal Manager leading complex international HVDC tenders at GE Grid Solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving successful contract negotiations for energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute bid strategy with Capture Leaders to maximize win probability and customer satisfaction.
- Lead cross-functional tender teams (Engineering, Sourcing, PM) to deliver competitive technical and commercial proposals.
- Manage tender planning, cost estimation, risk assessment, sourcing strategy, and governance approvals.
- Lead customer meetings and contract negotiations in international environments.
- Ensure compliance with GE Vernova processes, quality standards, and EHS policies while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Drive continuous improvement of tender efficiency, quality, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with strong focus on electrical power systems.
- Proven experience managing complex tenders or projects in large international engineering environments (HVDC knowledge preferred).
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding, including negotiation experience.
- Solid knowledge of electrical power systems for utility customers.
- Fluent German (mandatory) and English.
- Strong leadership potential, decision-making ability, customer orientation, and ability to perform under time pressure.
- High IT proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and willingness to travel (approx. once per month).
