Intern supporting procurement activities with a focus on supply management. Engaging in supplier relations and purchase processes while ensuring project timelines and costs.
Responsibilities
Identify outstanding supply items by extracting reports from the system, checking project orders, fulfilled and missing items to determine whether delivery deadlines are being met or if intervention is required;
Execute the purchasing process based on provided supply reports, including requesting quotes, negotiating, and finalizing acquisitions to meet project demands within established deadlines on a daily basis;
Establish relationships with new suppliers by analyzing specific project needs, sourcing potential partners in the market, and registering them in the company system to verify they meet required standards when necessary;
Register supplies by receiving requests from projects, entering data into the system and generating item codes for future records and to expand quotation coverage when needed;
Monitor orders by documenting specifics of each negotiation, tracking delivery pending items, and ensuring agreed deadlines are met to support projects on a daily basis;
Provide support to the procurement department by assisting with ad-hoc tasks that arise, contributing to team support, learning, and reducing backlog of overdue tasks daily;
Participate in departmental alignment meetings;
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields;
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office;
