About the role
- Interior Design Intern contributing to design projects in a creative studio environment. Gaining real-world experience through collaboration and hands-on learning with Gensler’s design team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design charrettes to define strategic goals
- Collaborate with designers, architects, and managers to gain real-world experience
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and technical drawings
- Build physical study models and presentation models
- Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design
- Completed third year of undergraduate program or first year of graduate program
- Experience using Revit or Rhino required
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM modeling software a plus
- 3-D computer rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software)
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Bluebeam
- Hand sketching and physical modelling ability a plus
