About the role

  • Cloud and Hosting Technology Specialist at Genpact, delivering project management services. Collaborating within the Agile framework and overseeing cloud deployment processes in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery and execution of Project Manager Services.
  • Facilitate and manage communication and issue resolution between our external vendors as well as internal customers.
  • Work within the Agile Framework as internal member of the Global Cloud and Hosting Product Team part of the Cloud Foundation Team - attending the daily stand-ups, Sprint Refinement, Planning and Retrospective and delivering user stories, tasks and spikes
  • Self-organising, multidisciplinary – ensuring that the key competencies and expertise needed to develop, build, deploy and support the Product are embedded in the team
  • Understanding business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, assess the complexity of these and translate into implementable solutions and configurations
  • Demonstrating product features during sprint reviews to stakeholders
  • Maintain and support the Azure Cloud Foundation Platform through DevOps and IaC practices
  • Deploy Enterprise Landing Zones using Azure DevOps, Git and Terraform Cloud
  • Deploy MultiCloud Connectivity Resources (Aviatrix) for connecting Landing Zones to on-premises networks
  • Create and deploy custom Azure policies specifically tailored or using the Cloud Adoption Framework module
  • Create and deploy custom Azure IAM roles
  • Maintain Terraform to the latest versions (N-1)
  • Maintain the AzureRM provider in Terraform to the latest versions (N-1)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud Networking, Security) to deploy and manage the Cloud Foundation Plaform
  • Ensure security and compliance policies are met by enforcing policy via code
  • Optimize performance and cost efficiency
  • Be a contact point and represent the Product Team in the interactions with the internal and external stakeholders and customers (via mail, Teams, conference calls)
  • Ensuring optimum performance, availability, and security in accordance with security standards and policy
  • Be an escalation point of contact for all ITSM processes and MSPs
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and their underlying causes that affect the product and propose how to resolve these
  • Have understanding of Cloud and Hosting services and perform the Technology Specialist role to guide customers on their software roadmap
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices; and evaluating them for applicability
  • Participating in the selection of new technologies, managing the quality of the solution and technical debt
  • Ensuring consistency of the overall product and being responsible to deliver the value of a single Product through the entire Product life cycle
  • Ensuring the overall HEINEKEN standards and best practices are adhered by (i.e. Quality, Compliance)
  • Provide guidance on all ITSM processes and for all the Product Team Managed Services Providers by understanding their services, ways of working, agreements, contracts, etc
  • Provide support on FinOps and have a good understanding of the overall finance process with all suppliers and involved tools and support customers on queries and cost corrections

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and marketplace services with a Proficiency in cloud providers like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other relevant cloud platforms
  • Deep understanding of the Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards and the ability to implement security measures to protect cloud resources, preferably with relevant certifications (AZ-500, CISSP or related)
  • Comprehensive understanding of reliability, encompassing Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and paired region replications
  • Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) in the cloud and Azure policies and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Knowledge of load balancers, DNS, private endpoints, and other network related services in the cloud
  • Hands-on experience in implementing DevOps processes & Infrastructure-as code workflow
  • Hands-on practical expertise in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation, including the ability to apply policy-as-code principles and maintaining infrastructure code in a version-controlled repository
  • Scripting skills in languages like PowerShell for automating Azure tasks and processes
  • Familiarity with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) public modules
  • Ability to monitor cloud resources and set up alerting and monitoring solutions (e.g. Azure Log Analytics / AWS Cloud Watch)
  • Detailed understanding of (the role of infrastructure in relation to) modern Application Lifecycle Management (Release Pipelines, CI/CD), ‘Infrastructure as Code’ concepts and related Service Management
  • Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes, including its architecture, core components, and how to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of (modern) datacentre and networking concepts like co location, DMZ, zoning, firewalls, routing, SD Wan, SDD
  • Familiar with cloud (cost) optimization options such as Azure Hybrid benefits, reservations, savings plans and Azure advisor
