About the role
- Senior Systems Engineer leading projects in verification and validation at GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids. Collaborating with teams and mentoring engineers in complex hardware/software for aviation systems
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers through all aspects of the Verification and Validation portion of the systems engineering lifecycle
- Develop and implement verification strategies and plans
- Create and execute test procedures
- Provide technical support for Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems
- Coordinate with sub-system verification teams to ensure seamless integration of verification artifacts
- Mentor other Systems Engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or relatable field of study
- 10+ years of experience in integration, validation and verification within an engineering product development environment
- Knowledge of the Boeing 777x and 787 airplane and related systems
- Prior experience working within an Avionics Design Assurance Level (DAL) A Environments (most critical)
- DO-297, ARP 4754A, DO-178C, DO-254 and/or DO-330 process assurance experience
- Strong systems engineering thought process on design, requirements, and verification
