- Delivery Manager overseeing Electrification Software project execution at GE Vernova. Cultivates client relationships and ensures on-time project delivery within quality and cost commitments.
Responsibilities
- Share responsibility with the Project Manager (PM) through close coordination for scope management, schedule, risk management, and quality management.
- Accountable for the end-to-end software delivery to meet the schedule, cost and quality commitments.
- Project Execution control: Build effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) as well as accurately track, update, and report task activity progress.
- Manage project team and activities to drive project deliverables.
- Performance Measurement: On-time delivery, Committed budget (effort) deviation, Software Delivery Processes Compliance, Customer Satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Customer, Project team (SSA and global), DevOps on project and technical items such as project status, risks and mitigation, scope, and issues.
- Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews (Requirements, Design, Factory Testing Readiness, Site Acceptance Readiness) within GE Vernova and the customer.
- Deploy GE Vernova GridOS, Smallworld GIS and Performance solutions to client environments.
- Respond to all client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas for in-flight projects and file tickets for the Product team.
- Perform use case and client specific testing runs and lead factory and site acceptance testing.
- Analyse and assess data and results of project activities and tasks.
- Utilise GE Vernova Product knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement, change management (costs base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement, etc).
- Agile mindset and ability to work with one or more teams (region and global) to execute and deliver solutions for our customers.
- Validate project scope review in coordination with the Solution Design team identifying, documenting, and estimating any change requests (CR) or project risks with mitigation plans.
- Work with Project Manager to communicate with customer.
- Assist in the tendering process for project proposals or CRs working with the Customer Engagement team/resource managers to validate scope and estimates as well as reviewing each proposal with the customer.
- Ensure a smooth transfer to maintenance at project end.
- Engage in Customer management activities with Project Manager.
- Work with Project Manager to report or resolve any process non-conformances in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with 5 years of experience in Electrification Software Services).
- Strong electricity industry knowledge with 2+ years relevant working experience.
- Fluent oral / written communication skills in French is mandatory.
- Industry knowledge in the field of operation and multi-sites project organizations.
- Process and methodology oriented.
- Highly collaborative and able to work across the organization to accomplish common goals.
- Fluent oral / written communication skills in English.
- Some experience with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) or Market Management Systems (MMS) will be a plus.
- Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (e.g. Smallworld or ESRI ArcGIS) will be a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
