About the role

  • Business Manager overseeing suppliers as primary POC in the market. Driving core competencies and collaborating with stakeholders for effective planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as assigned suppliers’ primary POC in the market
  • Master and drive 5 Core Competencies: business planning, performance evaluation, product and inventory management, pricing and revenue management, demand planning /forecasting/ budgeting
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement business plans
  • Develop and provide sales documents to also include pricing, advertising, POS, sell sheets (to include supporting analytics)
  • Develop, negotiate, and communicate incentives and rationalized goals per supplier/brand/product
  • Consistently evaluate performance metrics on all key activities
  • Collaborate on effective ways of working with Data Stewards
  • Ensure allocation business rules are consistently followed
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and negotiate with suppliers on price changes
  • Establish effective ways of working with Demand Planning
  • Negotiate and manage local supplier objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Strong business planning and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of trade development fundamentals (supplier, sales, customer, and brand)
  • Strong sales, finance, budget management, negotiation, and management skills
  • Ability to translate Strategy into relevant marketplace activity
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
