About the role
- Senior Accounting Operations Manager at GE Vernova driving global accounting processes and reporting, ensuring accuracy and accountability in financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly/ quarterly close procedures & reporting globally
- Drive timeliness & accuracy in financial closing & reporting and manage related communications with all Regions, Accounting COE and GEV HQ where appropriate
- Provide controllership leadership on new ERP implementations and migrations
- Understand business processes and systems to help streamline and make the processes more efficient
- Manage cross business schedules for ownership changes
- Coordinate account reconciliation activity and own metrics
- Manage 3-4 Accenture contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (this is a must in Hungary) or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Major experience in audit, accounting and/or controllership
- Strong controllership mindset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and present complex financial data
- Proven track record driving process improvements and projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English knowledge is essential
- Excellent PC skills including Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Experience in various GEV Financial Systems, including ERP’s – Oracle, SAP
