About the role
- Senior Credit Analyst responsible for assessing creditworthiness and financial stability of members at Fox Communities Credit Union. Analyzing financial data and collaborating with Loan Officers for informed credit decisions.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the creditworthiness and financial stability of commercial members
- Analyzing financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial data
- Evaluating the credit risk of commercial members by assessing factors such as industry trends, market conditions, business performance, and management strength
- Compiling detailed credit proposals outlining the findings of the credit analysis
- Staying informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes
- Working closely with Loan Officer and other stakeholders to gather additional information
- Monitoring the performance of existing credit accounts
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management guidelines
- Effectively communicating complex financial information and credit recommendations to decision-makers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Extensive experience in commercial credit analysis, preferably in a financial institution
- Knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit risk assessment, and financial statement analysis
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software as well as Microsoft Excel
