About the role

  • Solutions Architect at Ford Credit leading architectural initiatives for digital transformation in Fintech, Banking, and Lending.

Responsibilities

  • Define architectural solutions aligned to the enterprise architectural vision and strategy
  • Participate in the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Office
  • Provide architectural support for large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive strategies and roadmaps for modernizing legacy systems and applications
  • Design and oversee the implementation of complex integration architectures
  • Provide architectural guidance and deep technical knowledge across backend (Java) and frontend technologies
  • Champion architectural patterns and practices that enhance system resiliency, security, and operational efficiency
  • Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses and derive tangible value propositions for architectural decisions
  • Act as a trusted advisor and consultant to senior leadership and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively with onshore stakeholders

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in IT
  • At least 6+ years specifically in an Solution Architecture role within the Fintech, Banking, or Lending industries
  • Proven experience in participating in Enterprise Architecture Office and ARB reviews
  • Strong knowledge of solution designing based on industry standard modeling languages across all OSI layers
  • Extensive experience contributing to architectural efforts for large-scale digital transformation programs
  • Strong track record in legacy modernization and designing hybrid cloud architectures
  • Deep expertise in integration architecture, including REST APIs, event-driven designs, and microservice architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Java-based backend systems and familiarity with various frontend technologies
  • Good understanding of security, resiliency, monitoring and DevSecOps best practices
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Azure)
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles and artefacts
  • Expertise in conducting cost-benefit analysis and developing enterprise-level technology roadmaps
  • Exceptional consulting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • TOGAF certification is a nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts is a nice-to-have
  • Certifications in Java or cloud platforms are a nice-to-have
