About the role

  • Work with Engineering and Program Management to set reliability goals at vehicle level and cascade goals to subsystems and components
  • Work with Engineering and Validation teams to create reliability test plans and evaluate results
  • Work with Quality teams to complete dFMEA and failure mode avoidance activities
  • Track and report reliability growth across programs
  • Ability to coach and mentor entry level engineers and cross functional product teams

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or similar technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in reliability testing and statistical models
  • MS degree in Engineering or similar technical field (preferable)
  • 5 years of experience in Reliability, Quality, Testing or Product Engineering (preferable)
  • Experience in manufacturing - quality (preferable)
  • 2-3 years Data Analytics experience (Python, R-Studio, SQL) (preferable)
  • BEV/Hybrid/EREV understanding and experience (preferable)
  • Experience with reliability modeling software – ReliaSoft, MiniTab, JMP (preferable)
  • Strong Ford+ Behaviors (preferable)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several unique tasks simultaneously (preferable)
  • Ability to develop clear working level documents and management presentations (preferable)
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications (preferable)
  • Understanding of automotive parts and systems for teardown and root cause analysis (preferable)
  • Ability and willingness to travel to both Ford and supplier domestic and foreign locations (preferable)
  • Comfort and willingness to present to higher management (preferable)
