About the role

  • Site Engineer implementing business plans to exceed supplier performance metrics for Ford. Leading troubleshooting and coordination with suppliers in seating assembly operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues.
  • Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
  • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e. Q1)

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude**5+ years’ experience in Seat Assembly or Seat Trim Covers gained from design or manufacturing environments **Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers**Ability to travel in the US, Canada and Mexico approximately 80% of the time**Even better, you have...**Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines**Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified**Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience**Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
