About the role

  • Hardware R&D Engineer advancing next‑generation neural interface technologies for Echo Neurotechnologies. Leading rapid prototyping and collaborating with teams to drive innovations in BCI devices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize in‑house assembly processes for soft neural interface devices.
  • Perform electrochemical characterization and mechanical testing of devices.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis to provide design feedback.
  • Work with external vendors on manufacturing and assembly process outsourcing.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Biomedical Engineering (or related field), *or* a Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Academic or industry experience with implantable devices.
  • Experience in microfabrication, device packaging, and assembly.
  • Proficiency with electrochemical testing techniques (e.g., EIS, CV).
  • Experience with failure‑analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SEM, EDS, SIMS, XPS, XRD, FTIR).
