About the role

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer managing campaign development and automation workflows for global marketing operations at Ford. Collaborating with strategists and cross-functional teams to deliver personalized customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of marketing campaign development, from technical design and implementation to deployment, testing, and optimization.
  • Building and activating segments within Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Orchestrating sophisticated automation workflows in SFMC using advanced SQL, AMP script, and Server-Side JavaScript.
  • Collaborating with marketing strategists, designers, data analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Supporting business partners across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or similar marketing automation role.
  • Proven experience as a developer or engineer with Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly Customer Data Platform - CDP).
  • Expert proficiency in SFMC modules: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder.
  • Expert-level SQL skills, with demonstrated ability to write complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) within SFMC.
  • Strong command of AMP script and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) for dynamic content and advanced personalization.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for responsive email and landing page development.
  • Demonstrated experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) for SFMC.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data extensions, segmentation, and subscriber management in SFMC.
  • Experience in building personalized email content and designing customer journeys.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and email deliverability best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with high initiative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification and/or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant Certification highly desired
