Responsibilities
Provide support to attorneys and legal staff in the Flowers Legal Department in furtherance of the provision of legal advice, counsel, and representation to internal clients.
Act as master administrator of the Legal Tracker matter management system inclusive of system use, opening files, managing the invoice process including bill pay, and running reports as requested.
Coordinate the collection of intellectual property specimens and evidence needed for timely trademark renewals and maintenance in connection with outside legal counsel and internal constituencies.
Work with outside legal counsel and paralegals to periodically update and retain the trademark portfolio of the company and related records.
Coordinate litigation support services including, but not limited to, the authentication and retention of electronic devices needed for litigation purposes and related discovery/e-discovery activities.
Assist with executing training programs by researching topics, preparing materials, scheduling, and coordinating logistics for compliance and legal education sessions.
Collect and distribute legal department mail and packages to appropriate recipients daily. Also, prepare and send out U.S. mail, certified mail, express mail, and packages as needed or requested by attorneys.
Requirements
2 to 4 years’ experience as a paralegal in a corporate or law firm environment.
A paralegal studies certificate or degree from an accredited institution or comparable course of study
