Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and outside counsel to develop compliant responses to discovery requests.
Oversee and ensure timely, accurate legal responses to third-party subpoenas, franchise-tendered, and other litigation-related projects.
Provide first-line support on discovery, pleadings review, and other litigation documents.
Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and draft formal correspondence.
Implement robust risk mitigation strategies informed by ongoing litigation and current industry legal issues.
Support the brand’s reputation by preparing internal and external communications, working closely with the Crisis Team as needed.
Source, manage, and evaluate outside counsel on litigation strategy and related issues for cases with exposure up to $250,000.
Review invoices and billing from outside counsel, identify savings, and reserve capital for insured matters as necessary.
Requirements
Education: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. • Paralegal certificate preferred.
Experience: • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree. • Experience as a paralegal in a large law firm or fast-paced corporate environment with exposure to litigation preferred.

Benefits
Salary Range: $89,300 to $96,000 annually + bonus eligibility.
