About the role

  • Financial Operations Specialist ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations for FlapKap. Focused on credit operations, collections, and data integrity with efficient processing.

Responsibilities

  • Convert and parse bank statements and financial documents using multiple tech and automation tools.
  • Categorize and structure financial data into Excel and analysis sheets for Credit Team review.
  • Validate the completeness and accuracy of required client documentation prior to credit assessment.
  • Review client contracts issued by Commercial Admin against Credit Team-approved offers to ensure full alignment.
  • Review cheques submitted by the clients and validate against approved repayment schedules.
  • Ensure all pre-disbursement conditions are met ahead of disbursement.
  • Upload and validate disbursement details on the FlapKap application.
  • Create and manage KYC records in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Handle settlements, replacement cheques, and related operational actions.
  • Ensure all disbursements are accurately reflected in systems and supporting documentation.
  • Review all collections received from clients and reconcile against expected repayment schedules.
  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate with the Accounting team to resolve mismatches promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date collection tracking records.
  • Monitor settlement schedules and follow up on due and overdue payments.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure settlements are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Connect with clients with overdue payments to ensure maximum collection and recovery rates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in financial operations, credit operations, fintech, banking operations, or accounting support.
  • Strong knowledge of
  • Experience in fintech, lending, factoring, or financial services is a strong plus.
  • **Technical Skills:**
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (data parsing, reconciliation, analysis).
  • High attention to detail with the ability to validate large volumes of financial data accurately.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and tools
