  • Underwriting Counsel providing real estate title insurance expertise and educational support in a hybrid environment. Collaborating with agents to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization related to real estate title insurance commitments and policies
  • Issue underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes
  • Prepare and present educational content for the benefit of company personnel and agents

Requirements

  • Law Degree required
  • Admitted to practice in state of employment
  • Licensed to practice law, in good standing
  • 5+ years title underwriting experience; commercial experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of real estate title and settlement process
  • Familiar with real estate law, including federal and state regulations
