About the role
- Senior Legal Counsel providing legal and compliance support for Aritzia’s Digital Division. Focusing on U.S. consumer protection and privacy laws while driving positive outcomes in litigation.
Responsibilities
- Develop an integrated offensive and defensive legal strategy to drive and protect Aritzia’s Digital Division
- Support the Digital Division’s business activities and transactions with third parties
- Champion compliance with privacy laws across the Digital Division
- Champion legal compliance across the Digital Division and drive positive outcomes in litigation
Requirements
- Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in commercial and privacy law.
- Law Degree from a recognized university
- License to practice law in the U.S.
- A deep knowledge of applicable data privacy regulations and standards, including PIPEDA, PIPL, CCPA and GDPR
- Privacy certification is an asset
