Responsibilities
Lead project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities for strategic, high impact, high risk projects.
Work with sponsors, finance, the PMO and other key stakeholders to develop, gain approval and monitor compelling business cases for your projects.
Lead projects from end to end, ensuring they are clearly scoped, well governed and delivered on time, to budget and to quality.
Bring together cross functional teams, proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, and maintain strong oversight of costs and resources.
Provide clear, accurate reporting on progress and performance, and use your experience to drive continuous improvement and support the development of junior members of the team.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience of delivering complex, high-risk projects across people, process and technology.
Extensive experience of applying project management disciplines in a pragmatic and flexible way, including detailed project planning, risk and issue management and maintaining business cases.
Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
Demonstrable experience of effectively managing third party suppliers and delivery partners to ensure contractual performance, quality outcomes and value for money.
Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, secure decisions and clear present complex information in a clear and simple way.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile PM, APM or equivalent alongside practical experience of applying these frameworks.
