About the role

  • Director shaping insights that influence strategic decision-making across Fidelity’s distribution, wealth, and advisor technology businesses. Collaborating with leaders to align commercial priorities with new opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop research and analysis that extend beyond simple observation, delivering clear and commercially relevant recommendations that influence critical business decisions.
  • Play a key role in evolving the team’s mandate, reach, and capabilities to establish it as a proactive and insightful partner embedded in the commercial rhythm of the business.
  • Ensure that external market dynamics, client needs, and competitive threats continually inform internal priorities and investments.
  • Translate market and competitive intelligence into actionable strategies that support revenue growth, client acquisition, and retention across intermediary and institutional channels.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Sales, Relationship Management, and Product leaders to help anticipate market shifts, identify whitespace opportunities, and shape client-centric solutions.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in financial services, ideally within market intelligence, competitive intelligence, management consulting, or strategy roles.
  • Apply advanced financial and strategic analysis to interpret a firm's strategy from its financial results and identify actionable insights for the business.
  • Synthesize complex industry data into concise, commercially relevant intelligence for senior leaders as well as day to day business partners
  • Demonstrate ability to influence cross-functional teams, including senior leaders, by making data-driven, strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, proactive problem-solving, creativity, and adaptability to changing business priorities.
  • Display exceptional relationship-building skills, operating effectively across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Possess executive-level communication capabilities, including the ability to craft compelling narratives and present insights with clarity, confidence, and strategic relevance.
  • Be curious, question assumptions, and focus on driving commercial results.
  • Prefer experience in asset management distribution, wealth management, or intermediary channels (but not required).
  • Hold an MBA, CFA, or similar advanced credential (preferred).
