About the role
- Security Officer performing patrols, emergency response, and customer service at Climax Molybdenum. Managing site security and assisting with emergency situations at various locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location
- Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate
- Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival
- Direct visitors and vendors to destination
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Perform frequent patrols of the property
- Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities
- Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted
- Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed
Requirements
- Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location
- Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations
- Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- High School diploma or GED
