Responsibilities
Act as the Geotechnical Project Manager for the Mauricie region
Assist and advise the existing technical and professional team throughout the various project stages
Collaborate with geotechnical professionals working in EXP’s offices across Quebec
Participate in business development activities in the geotechnical field
Prepare proposals and statements of work
Plan and carry out the monitoring and execution of geotechnical studies involving drilling, soil and rock sampling, installation of wells and piezometers, in-situ testing, etc.
Prepare study and expert reports, including supervising laboratory testing programs
Calculate bearing capacities, settlements and other parameters related to geotechnical studies
Assess slope and embankment stability and perform stability analyses using software such as GeoSlope
Provide technical and administrative project oversight while maintaining strong communication with clients
Perform any other tasks related to the position
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (asset)
More than 10 years of relevant experience
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Basic knowledge of environmental matters (asset)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and software such as Chaussée 2, GeoSlope, Géotec and GeoStudio
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
