Responsibilities

• Become a core part of Expana’s forecasting engine — blending analytical rigour, market intuition, and crisp communication to deliver forecasts that customers trust
• Build deep expertise in Expana’s forecasting products, methodology, and your commodity markets through training, hands‑on delivery, and collaboration with subject‑matter experts
• Maintain and update a portfolio of commodity price forecasts across multiple markets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
• Monitor market developments and key drivers, integrating new information into forecasts
• Produce clear, client‑ready written and video commentary that explains predicted movements
• Support the development, launch, and continuous improvement of new forecasts
• Present insights via topical webinars and contribute to customer calls to drive adoption and understanding
• Participate in team discussions to share market knowledge and align methodology
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure forecast insights are communicated consistently across the Expana brand
• Suggest practical improvements to methodology, validation, and operational workflows
• Explain forecasting methodologies and updates to clients, tailoring detail to the audience and ensuring clarity of assumptions and implications

Requirements

• A degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or another numerate discipline
• Experience in a commodity trading house, research house, or pricing agency (physical or futures) — ideally in technical analysis, pricing, research, or fundamental analysis
• Strong understanding of commodity price theory, including supply/demand fundamentals, trade flows, and price interactions
• Solid understanding of financial markets or commodity futures markets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional writing ability — clear, concise, and insight‑driven
• Strong analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills
• High attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
• A self‑starter mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
