About the role
- Azure Data Architect leading database architecture and technology assessment for mortgage technology company. Collaborating with teams to ensure compliance with IT governance and data security policies.
Responsibilities
- Assume a leadership role in establishing and ensuring compliance with IT governance/data security policies
- Perform/lead/recommend SQL Performance Tuning
- Explore new technologies with intrinsic value for applications in database and system architectures
- Define and lead proof of concept activities associated with technology assessment
- Work with IT and business representatives to determine the future development roadmap in cloud data systems
- Design and configure both relational and transactional databases
- Define and document full lifecycle requirements for systems and database design
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in software or applications engineering and/or technical operations
- Full command of cloud-based systems such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Experience in Design/Implementation of Big Data Warehouses
- Real-world experience with Azure database technologies
- Cloud Architecture certified
- Knowledgeable in open source systems such as Apache and MongoDB
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and/or similar data governance tools
- Excellent communication skills
