About the role

  • COE Senior Analyst - Tax overseeing testing, validation, and rollout of Uber’s ITX tax platform. Collaborating with tax data teams for efficient automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a focal point for the ITX Platform build, testing, and rollout
  • Coordinate and document all testing and validation with internal engineers and the external vendor
  • Partner with the Tax Data and Tax Invoicing teams to ensure data quality and readiness for automation
  • Track, manage, and report build issues and progress until resolved
  • Support creation of process documentation, UAT sign-offs, and training materials for Tax Reporting teams
  • Monitor rollout impact and identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Tax Transformation team on other automation or efficiency initiatives

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of experience in indirect tax compliance, process improvement, or tax systems implementation
  • Solid understanding of Indirect tax data and reporting flows
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination
  • Experience working in Big Four, shared services, or multinational tax environments
  • Exposure to testing, UAT (Uber Acceptance Testing), or validation activities for tax or finance systems
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills (experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar is a plus)
  • Familiarity with automation or tax technology tools, and the ability to interpret testing outcomes
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset - proactive in identifying issues and driving resolution
