About the role
- QA Analyst responsible for testing network protocol products in a high technology environment. Collaborating in an Agile team to enhance product functionality and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing of network protocol testing products.
- Contribute to the development of new functionalities to existing line of network testing products.
- Implement the testing strategies early in the development process.
- Educate team members about test strategy benefits.
- Work with the team to select appropriate testing tools.
- Define when and how scenarios are written, reviewed, and executed.
- Encourage collaboration in grooming sessions for defining acceptance criteria.
- Work towards automating the execution of test scenarios.
- Make executing test scenarios part of the Definition of Done (DoD) for user stories.
- Ensure integration of tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.
- Review and adapt processes based on feedback and lessons learned.
Requirements
- 8-12 years QA testing in a high technology environment
- Proficient in quality assurance principles, theories, and concepts
- Understanding of different types of tests and their role (unit, integration, functional, etc.)
- Able to establish and execute efficient test strategies
- Able to design and perform functional and corner case tests
- Hands on experience with testing and/or monitoring network equipment
- Experience with networking concepts and protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
- Experience with Mobile device testing
- Experience/knowledge of an automation tool is a plus
- Must have French and English (verbal and written) skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or Electrical Engineering.
- Must have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
