About the role

  • Country Manager for Exact Sciences overseeing commercial activities in Italy's oncology market. Leading strategies for market growth and managing a multi-functional team with P&L responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the region in advancing our corporate presence and widening the market for Exact Sciences portfolio.
  • Responsible for all commercialization activities.
  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future.
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
  • Develop and execute on country-specific strategic and tactical plans, prioritizing resources to maximize growth.
  • Own full country P&L responsibility, ensuring delivery against revenue, profitability and investment objectives.
  • Further build effective team of employees, consultants, and vendors to support business objectives.
  • Work closely with relevant departments within Exact Sciences.
  • Develop relationships with key customers, KOLs and other relevant stakeholders to support successful business growth.
  • Establish key partnerships to maximize our business opportunity.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Societies and Italian Authorities including to support patient access for Exact Sciences products.
  • Provide input into the overall long range and operating corporate plans. The input will be the basis for forecasts and resource allocation.
  • This role requires travel up to 40%.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of senior commercial and market access leadership experience in oncology within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics or laboratory organizations.
  • Min 5+ years in managing a multi-functional team especially with both direct and dotted-line reporting lines – this must include full P&L management.
  • Master and/or PhD in Business, Healthcare Technology and/or Science required
  • Strong hands-on experience in Market Access, reimbursement, and contracting.
  • In-depth understanding of commercialization of Oncology products and/or molecular diagnostics.
  • IVD experience and Direct-to-Consumer commercial experience is considered a strong plus.
  • Excellent judgement, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks and to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Brings a positive mental attitude to daily tasks and becomes a net contributor to overall morale.
  • Strategic thinker with potential and willingness for advancement into International or Global roles (incl mobility).
  • Native level Italian and fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in country where work will be performed on a full or part-time basis.
