Managing pursuit of Power projects in Hydro Power space identified for growth in Europe. Focusing on winning projects while driving profitable growth and enhancing market participation.
Responsibilities
Act as Pursuit Manager for assigned Projects on opportunities with a center of gravity in Europe and be the focal point for Customers and Contractors
Assist the local organizations in Identifying and Qualifying opportunities in line with the qualification criteria
Provide active support to countries in Hydro Modernization space including: Market analysis to identify upfront addressable customer base with aging assets, Modernization solution architecting, Extended marketing activities that includes participation in internal and external customer events as a solution expert
Lead all internal and external project pursuit resources necessary to win the assigned project; and coordinate all available internal resources including world area sales, proposal resources, project execution teams, executive management and external local business partners
Oversee the development of sales strategy; forging relationships with key defined end users, partners and engineering contractors; having direct involvement throughout the project pursuit lifecycle including sales pursuit, proposal generation/submittal, and contract negotiation
Utilize the pre-defined project pursuit methodology including opportunity qualification and screening, sales team assignments, communications planning, sales strategy development, executive management involvement and reporting, proposal planning, competitive analysis, customer business analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, and pursuit success probability.
Lead all internal reviews through the pursuit cycle
Requirements
BSc Degree in Engineering or technical field.
More than 5 years experience in the process automation field.
Experience managing a pursuit with in-depth knowledge of professional selling techniques for large capital projects.
Strong knowledge of project execution fundamentals as well as knowledge of contracting strategies, execution practices and measurements with global engineering contractors.
Fluent English
Willingness to travel extensively within Europe.
