About the role

  • Trainee in Finance department at Evonik Industries contributing to projects and learning about finance operations. Involvement in strategic planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Immerse yourself in practice: Discover both the operational and strategic side of our finance department and learn how we work with numbers and data
  • Get involved: Actively support our management in planning, controlling and analyzing our business – we want your ideas for strategic goals!
  • Take responsibility: Work on exciting projects in our finance department, accounting, controlling and M&A and get the opportunity to take responsibility early on
  • Shape the future: Contribute to the creation of management reports and decision templates – your opinion counts!
  • Grow together: Expand your skills together with trainees from other areas and build a valuable network within and outside of the finance department, accounting, controlling and taxes

Requirements

  • Academic background: You have completed your master's degree in business administration or industrial engineering with a focus on finance, controlling or accounting with above-average grades.
  • Practical experience: You have gained initial practical experience, e.g. through internships, and have knowledge in the areas of digitalization, predictive forecasting or big data analytics
  • International perspective: You can demonstrate your mobility through initial experiences abroad
  • Languages: You are business fluent in German and English, both orally and in writing
  • Overview of the big picture: You have a strong understanding of processes and end-to-end responsibility – you think outside the box
  • Creative problem solver: You take a holistic view of issues from different perspectives and develop creative solutions independently
