About the role

  • As the first point of contact for managers and HR colleagues, you provide advice on employment law, works constitution (co‑determination) and collective bargaining issues — solution-oriented, on an equal footing, and with a focus on the essentials.
  • You actively shape employee relations by not only assessing legal matters but also preparing them in a clear and practice-oriented way — from initial assessment to final implementation.
  • You represent our company in labor court proceedings with legal tact, a clear stance and independent responsibility.
  • You coordinate external law firms confidently, keep ongoing cases in view and ensure consistent, high-quality legal support.
  • With empathy and negotiation skills, you work together with employee representatives to develop viable, future-oriented works agreements.
  • You contribute your expertise to the preparation and conduct of collective bargaining negotiations — closely coordinated with our employers' associations.
  • You present complex legal topics in an accessible way and develop training formats that are practical and have a lasting impact.
  • You think strategically, contribute to fundamental policy issues and help further develop our HR standards in line with current case law and our corporate culture.
  • A sharp eye for existing HR processes is part of the role, as is the drive to continuously improve them and shape them for the future.

Requirements

  • Completed law degree (fully qualified lawyer) with a focus on employment law.
  • Several years of professional experience in employment law — e.g., as an attorney or as in-house counsel (Syndikusrechtsanwalt/Syndikusrechtsanwältin) — is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of individual and collective employment law; experience in collective bargaining law is desirable, or you are willing to develop this expertise.
  • Business-fluent German skills and confident use of MS Office.
  • Your working style is independent, pragmatic and solution-oriented — with a pronounced entrepreneurial mindset.
  • With strong communication skills, social competence and advisory experience you build trust and convince both managers and employees.

Benefits

  • Work–life balance: instead of shift work, we offer flexible flextime and remote work (up to 60%).
  • Company pension scheme: according to the collective agreement with the option for salary conversion and an employer contribution.
  • Holidays: 30 days off with the option to increase to 36 days via salary conversion.
  • Other benefits: e.g., the option of a leased company bike, summer events, shopping discounts through Corporate Benefits, etc.
