About the role
- Manage a team of supervisors and project Engineers to deliver a portfolio of major projects on behalf of ESB Networks
- Provide regular updates and recommended actions to the Network Project Delivery Manager
- Management of the overall project deliverables for all stakeholders
- Lead the delivery of the projects with a multi-disciplinary team utilising ESB’s Project Management Methodology
- Maintain a relationship with Delivery Partners and manage Contractor performance
- Owning of key project deliverables during the project development and construction phases
- Transition the completed asset to the asset owner.
Requirements
- A minimum of ten years’ relevant work experience including five years’ experience in project management/project delivery
- A strong understanding of HV underground cables and Substation construction and commissioning works
- A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to ESB’s safety, time, quality and cost objectives
- The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and report writing skills.
- A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service.
- PSDP/PSCS Competency, or CDMC equivalent
