About the role
- Managing Technical Consultant leading archaeological investigations for cultural resource management in the Pacific Northwest. Collaborating with Tribal Nations and multidisciplinary teams for environmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high‑quality archaeological investigations
- Build trusted relationships with SHPOs, Tribal Nations, and key stakeholders
- Manage diverse, simultaneous projects ensuring quality and client satisfaction
- Mentor and guide cultural resources staff
- Collaborate with environmental planners, biologists, engineers, and GIS experts
- Support proposal development and cost estimates
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant paid experience
- Qualifications to serve as Field Director on BLM, ARPA, and state permits in the Pacific Northwest
- Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA)
- Demonstrated leadership in directing archaeological projects
- Author experience with agency‑reviewed cultural resources documentation
- Experience interacting with agency personnel as a consultant representative
- Ability to work independently or in a multidisciplinary cultural resources team
- Willingness to travel throughout Washington and Oregon
- Ability to conduct fieldwork up to 50% during peak season
- Proficiency with mapping and field tools such as GPS, total stations, and ArcGIS FieldMaps/Survey123
