About the role
- General Project Manager managing wind farm projects from planning to completion in a leading renewable energy firm.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the timely, quality-compliant and cost-effective execution of wind farm projects from the planning phase through acceptance
- Ensuring compliance with all HSE standards
- Initiating and driving project optimization measures in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Coordinating and providing technical leadership to the project team (Commercial Project Manager, Construction Manager, Electrical Works Manager, Logistics Coordinators) and external subcontractors
- Primary point of contact for our clients during the project planning and execution phases
- Monitoring the project schedule and initiating control measures in case of deviations
- Reviewing completed work for quality and cost conformity
- Responsible for adherence to the project budget
- Contract and claims management
- Regular project reporting
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent qualification, ideally with a project management certification
- Project management experience in plant engineering or the energy sector
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong communicator with initiative, a results-oriented mindset and commercial/business acumen
- Very good German and good English language skills
- Willingness to travel for business
