About the role

  • Operations Trainee in Sompo International's 18-month Trainee Program. Rotating through key insurance operations areas to develop leadership potential and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a dynamic rotational experience designed to build your leadership potential and insurance expertise
  • Rotate through key areas of insurance operations, working closely with senior leaders and learning how to drive impact across the organization
  • Build your knowledge of insurance operations as you are embedded within and improve processes and deliver on projects aligned with regional objectives
  • Have support for your early career needs and be empowered to ask bold questions and contribute innovative ideas
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our business units, underwriting and operating model through on-the-job learning, workplace mentoring and directed self-study

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduation date between May 2025 and May 2026
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in the insurance industry
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly through written and verbal communication
  • Solution-oriented mindset and data analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • Adaptability to new challenges and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates integrity and reliability in fulfilling roles and responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Local to the desired office location or able to arrange housing and transportation in the area to support an in-office working arrangement while in the Trainee Program
  • Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
