About the role

  • executing ECU’s federal and non-federal political, PAC and partnerships strategy
  • oversee staff at a variety of career and experience levels within the department
  • partner with ECU’s VP of Campaigns and EVP of Political
  • direct political work with House, Senate, and non-federal candidates and ballot initiatives
  • manage and mentor the organization’s political staff day-to-day
  • represent ECU publicly at meetings, candidate events, and occasionally in the press or on panels or other events
  • provide critical election updates on a weekly basis
  • track campaign progress and overall campaign performance

Requirements

  • at least three campaign cycles of experience
  • two cycles in high-level campaign leadership positions
  • extensive background in political strategy and advocacy at the national and state level
  • proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key political stakeholders
  • leading high-impact campaigns
  • strong political acumen and ability to navigate complex political landscapes
  • strong leadership abilities
  • experience managing teams and collaborating across departments to drive organizational goals
