About the role
- Senior Political Director overseeing and executing political strategies for End Citizens United. Leading the team and managing relationships with political stakeholders during the 2026 election cycle.
Responsibilities
- executing ECU’s federal and non-federal political, PAC and partnerships strategy
- oversee staff at a variety of career and experience levels within the department
- partner with ECU’s VP of Campaigns and EVP of Political
- direct political work with House, Senate, and non-federal candidates and ballot initiatives
- manage and mentor the organization’s political staff day-to-day
- represent ECU publicly at meetings, candidate events, and occasionally in the press or on panels or other events
- provide critical election updates on a weekly basis
- track campaign progress and overall campaign performance
Requirements
- at least three campaign cycles of experience
- two cycles in high-level campaign leadership positions
- extensive background in political strategy and advocacy at the national and state level
- proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key political stakeholders
- leading high-impact campaigns
- strong political acumen and ability to navigate complex political landscapes
- strong leadership abilities
- experience managing teams and collaborating across departments to drive organizational goals
