About the role

  • Developer Relations Engineer developing technical content and community engagement for AI platform. Building relationships with ML engineers and researchers to improve data quality and model performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical content - tutorials, notebooks, integration guides, video walkthroughs, and technical blog posts that showcase real-world applications of Encord across data curation, annotation, and model evaluation workflows. You'll own a consistent publishing cadence and produce work that gets cited and shared by practitioners
  • Be a community presence - engage authentically with ML engineers, data scientists, and AI practitioners online (X, LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub etc.) and at in-person events
  • Run and attend events - represent Encord at conferences, meetups, and hackathons; plan and host your own workshops and developer sessions in London, the SF Bay Area, and beyond
  • Build partnerships - develop relationships with complementary open-source projects, ML tooling companies, and DevRel teams to co-create content and integrations
  • Close the feedback loop - act as the voice of the developer community internally, with a direct line to product and engineering to surface insights that shape product direction and documentation
  • Track what works - set clear objectives aligned with the GTM team and take a rigorous, data-driven approach to measuring the impact of everything you ship

Requirements

  • A strong background in ML, AI, or data engineering — hands-on experience building in these domains, not just familiarity with the terminology
  • Understanding of why data quality matters for model performance and enjoys helping other developers improve their craft
  • At ease reading and discussing research papers and ML tooling docs
  • Metrics-driven with a systematic approach to prioritising initiatives

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, commission, and equity in a high-growth startup
  • Strong in-person culture — most of the team works from our London office 3+ days/week
  • 25 days annual leave + UK public holidays
  • Annual learning & development budget
  • Travel for customer visits, events, and conferences across the UK and Europe
  • Company lunches twice a week
  • Monthly socials & bi-annual team offsites
