About the role

  • Engineer integrating energy management systems for a tech company developing sustainable energy solutions. Collaborating in a small team to ensure seamless integration of IoT devices and data sources.

Responsibilities

  • As an engineer responsible for the technical integration of energy management systems, you are in charge of the operational implementation of all technical steps necessary to successfully integrate our energy management solution into existing or new infrastructures.
  • You will work closely within a small, four-person integration team and will not have direct customer contact.
  • Your focus is on reliable data connectivity, system configuration and the integration of IoT devices.
  • Integrate various data sources into the energy management system (e.g., building management systems, meters, sensors, APIs).
  • Import, transform and validate energy data.
  • Set up automated data pipelines for continuous data collection and processing.
  • Configure and adjust system parameters according to technical specifications or project requirements.
  • Configure dashboards, KPIs, alerts and reporting functions.
  • Test and validate system functionality in staging and production environments.
  • Technical connection, configuration and commissioning of IoT devices (e.g., gateways, sensors, controllers).
  • Ensure network connectivity and protocol compatibility (e.g., Modbus, ISO TCP, OPC UA).

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience working with energy management systems, building technology or IoT platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of network technology and industrial communication protocols.
  • Analytical thinking, a structured working style and strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Self-organized working style with no direct customer contact.
