Procurement Analyst ensuring vendor management and compliance with procurement policies at Emerald Clinical Trials. Collaborating across teams to support global supply needs with a focus on quality control.
Responsibilities
Manage incoming vendor requests, ensuring compliant to policy in a timely manner.
Maintain and report vendor performance metrics.
Assist requisition workflow in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records including supporting documentation as required by Quality and departmental guidelines.
Manage queries from internal stakeholders and vendors in a timely manner.
Support procurement spends, vendor and Purchase Order metrics investigating irregularities or exceptions.
Collaborate with procurement team in category management and strategic sourcing activities.
Complete mandatory training for this role within specified timelines.
Attend mandatory training sessions required for this role.
Identify resources and training to support learning and development within this role.
Comply with all applicable regulations, guidelines, SOPs and project-specific requirements.
Comply with all designated systems relevant to this role.
Ensure own quality control of all relevant processes and activities performed.
Report and escalate identified risks and issues in areas of responsibility according to Emerald Clinical and/or project requirements.
Attend and actively participate in Emerald Clinical meetings and other internal meetings and activities as required.
Provide input to systems, tools and processes to support continuous improvement.
Share knowledge with others, to facilitate learning and development across the organisation.
Comply with Work Health & Safety (WH&S) legislation and operate in accordance with established organisational WH&S practice and procedures.
Promote and contribute to a safe, secure environment for staff and visitors.
Requirements
Business relevant degree ideally with a procurement specific professional qualification or certification.
Ideally three to five years procurement experience supporting global business ideally within a clinical research organisation.
Must be proficient with standard technology including but not limited to the Microsoft office modules and have experience with a Procure to Pay (PtoP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system like Oracle, Salesforce or SAP with data analytic and finance experience.
Knowledge and understanding of commercial supply contracts would be a bonus.
Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English as well as at least one other language, along with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, both internally and externally.
An understanding of procurement and vendor management principles, risk and best practice.
Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, global and local ethical and regulatory research requirements as they relate to the use of vendors in clinical studies is an advantage.
Strong negotiating skills.
Must be accurate with a good attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team, and persistent when interacting with vendors and internal departments, including but not limited to finance, sales, and project management.
Must have good organisational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in an ambiguous environment.
Technological proficiency including Microsoft Office packages.
Ability to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail and quality of work.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
