About the role

  • Senior Manufacturing Engineer managing production tooling and processes for Columbus McKinnon. Identifying improvement opportunities and leading engineering projects for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, lead, manage and contribute to projects which may include design, development, rebuilding, cost savings, process improvements and /or documentation on new and/or existing production tooling, equipment and processes.
  • Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Evaluate field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
  • Review project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and related specifications.
  • Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering designs and test problems.
  • Work with machine shop to improve tooling, equipment designs and machine shop output.
  • Program CNC lathes and mills.
  • Manage tooling and equipment projects, working with suppliers during development to ensure tooling and equipment meets quality, cost, timing, and specification requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering
  • High competence with Microsoft Office and Solidworks CAD software packages
  • 2-5+ years' experience in SAP databases and related transactions.
  • Must have prior experience leading and managing people.
