About the role
- Data Integration Engineer specializing in Talend for scalable ETL processes. Working with data integration solutions and consulting clients in data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust ETL pipelines with Talend, integrate data sources, and optimize data flows for scalable architectures.
- Advise clients on the latest data integration capabilities, primarily using the Qlik portfolio (Qlik Talend Cloud, Talend Studio, Change Data Capture).
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using Talend Studio and Qlik Talend Cloud.
- Connect heterogeneous data sources (SQL, APIs, flat files, cloud services).
- Build and maintain data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing.
- Perform data modeling and transformation for data warehouse and data lake architectures.
- Perform performance tuning of data flows and optimize loading processes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and error handling in production pipelines.
Requirements
- Proven, expert-level experience in data integration with Talend
- Knowledge of ETL best practices and ability to work in a structured, solution-oriented manner
- Many years of hands-on experience with Talend products (Open Studio, Data Integration, Talend Cloud)
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data flow design
- Ideally, experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes
- Analytical thinking and enjoyment of working independently with clients
- Excellent German and English skills, spoken and written (minimum C1 level)
