About the role

  • Director of Global Consumer Insights shaping marketing strategy and enterprise growth for eBay. Leading a high-performing team to translate consumer data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of research and insights professionals
  • Build a deep, forward-looking understanding of consumers
  • Design and evolve global research programs and proprietary tools
  • Translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into compelling narratives
  • Partner closely with global and regional Marketing, Brand, Product, and Analytics teams
  • Provide senior-level consultation and thought leadership

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or a related subject area
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams
  • Deep expertise in value proposition research, strategic brand positioning, and marketing campaign development and measurement
  • Strong consultative skills
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative research expertise
  • Excellent executive communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in market research, statistics, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred
