About the role

  • Payroll Manager overseeing payroll functions for DWIHN and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising payroll staff while maintaining system accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of Finance, the Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the payroll functions.
  • Ensure pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Hire and train Payroll Specialist(s).
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the payroll team.
  • Monitor payroll team performance, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance to verify employee data and accounts.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of full-time paid professional experience performing payroll functions for an organization of at least 250+ employees.
  • Experience with payroll software (ADP preferred).
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
