About the role

  • State Energy Policy Director responsible for energy policy advocacy and management at Duke Energy in SC. Leading strategic initiatives and building stakeholder relationships to support the Energy Security Act.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, advocacy and advice in the effectuation of state energy policy for Duke Energy
  • Identifying and analyzing energy policy trends and regulatory developments
  • Supporting cross-functional efforts for Act-related matters
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Representing the company in internal and external energy stakeholder organizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Sustainability Management, Natural Resources or other related degree
  • seven (7) years minimum required related experience
  • Significant background in utilities, land management, energy, or contract administration.
