Responsibilities
help develop, integrate, and deploy advanced perception systems enabling autonomous vehicles and robots
work side-by-side with Draper engineers to develop and implement state of the art solutions
algorithm development, test support, data analysis, and software development for autonomous systems
capable of contributing to and integrating state-of-the-art algorithms
analyzing data from simulation and field tests
effectively working within multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. (in progress) in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field of study
Research or technical contributions in one or more of the following fields: vision-aided navigation, computer vision, perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and machine learning
Programming experience in C/C++ or Python
Broad robotics experience, especially integration and test with robotics platforms
Experience with stochastic estimation algorithms (e.g., Extended Kalman Filters)
Experience with collaborative multi-vehicle teaming algorithms
Exposure to adjacent subfields of robotics, such as: trajectory or motion planning; planning under uncertainty; optimal control; guidance, navigation & control (GN&C); and deep learning
Experience working as a member of a multi-developer team using collaboration tools such as Git
Experience working in a Linux development environment and with Robot Operating System (ROS)
