About the role

Responsibilities
- Contribute to software projects (incident reporting system and Smart Rescue) to develop IT solutions for our customers in the fire service sector
- Participate in the design and implementation of backend services and interfaces
- Operate and maintain systems, including monitoring
- Technically evaluate customer requirements within projects
- Define the technology roadmap as part of product development
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist plus additional specialized training and several years of professional experience
- Experience in backend or full-stack development
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., CockroachDB)
- Experience with the technology stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, AWS, PHP
- Familiarity with Clean Code principles, SOLID, and agile methodologies
- German language skills at C2 level and confident subject-specific English skills
- You approach problems creatively, in a structured and results-oriented manner
- You are fascinated by new technology and always curious about the next challenge
- Voluntary involvement in a volunteer fire department is an advantage
