Responsibilities
- Daily data entry for client remittances, accounts payable and wire transfers/ACH payments.
- Preparation of daily deposit.
- Preparation and mailing of daily check run.
- Preparation and posting of general journal entries into the accounting program.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth processing of all transactions.
- Filing of all paid invoices and checking copies.
- Maintain a listing of all company files sent to the outside storage area.
- Assist in any special projects assigned to the department.
- Assist in document requests from both internal and outside auditors.
- Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (including advanced Excel experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences.
- 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
