About the role

  • Senior Criminal Lawyer providing expert legal representation for complex criminal law matters at Legal Aid NSW. Leading and mentoring junior lawyers while improving client outcomes in Moree.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert advice and representation in complex criminal law matters
  • Contribute to a focused, organised, high‑performing practice
  • Supervise junior lawyers with clarity, direction, and care
  • Work collaboratively and cohesively in an office and with other legal divisions
  • Contribute to reforms and initiatives that improve client outcomes
  • Lead with purpose bringing clarity to complexity and lifting those around you

Requirements

  • Admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
  • Provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before starting work
  • Willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check
  • Valid Driver Licence and/or capacity to travel regularly for certain roles
