About the role

  • Technical Business Analyst responsible for understanding business needs and translating them into requirements. Collaborating with various teams to improve systems and ensure compliance at Davy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements
  • Analyse existing systems, workflows, and data flows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Produce high‑quality functional specifications, technical specifications, data mapping, and process documentation
  • Participate in solution design and architecture discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and target architecture
  • Work closely with developers, QA, architecture, and infrastructure teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
  • Investigate and triage production incidents, defects, and performance issues
  • Identify and recommend enhancements that improve system performance, stability, or user experience
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation, process maps, configuration details, and user guides
  • Ensure solutions comply with IT standards, security policies, data protection requirements, and financial‑services regulatory frameworks

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track record of working in a technically complex environment
  • Demonstrable achievements in managing & delivering solutions to complex business requirements
  • Very strong technical skills and a desire to progress to becoming a lead technical analyst/architect
  • Strong experience in systems analysis, technical design, solutions development and deployment with a proven track record of playing a key role
  • Ability to maintain productive and cordial relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels of seniority across the organisation
  • Experience in working with 3rd party system solution providers
  • Knowledge of financial markets and particularly Wealth Management systems an advantage
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and development tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL query skills
  • A proven track record of working in multi-disciplined project environments
  • Experience of drafting comprehensive test scripts & use cases and executing test plans
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills
  • A relevant Third Level degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP is an advantage.
